Fall Break

Bonjour mes amis!

Soooooo, it's been awhile...sorry : /
ANYWAYS...before I ended the last blog, I was talking about late night in the Phog.
It...was....AWESOME.
Here's some pictures!

This is Brittney and John!

So after night in the Phog, the following week blew by in a flurry of midterms
and horrible exams.
The worst part of the week was mom surgery. I have always been there for
every surgery since 5th grade, but I couldn't see her until the next day.
She was going under while I was in English class, but she called. We cried, and I had to let her go because her blood pressure was climbing due to my worrying.
Instead of going home after my classes were done, I had to stay in Lawrence because I had a Global Partners meeting at 9-11pm. Here is where my day became much, much brighter.
While at Global Partners, I didn't get to meet my group because none of them were there, so instead I hung out with other international students whose groups also weren't there.
While waiting to go bowling, I met a lovely guy named Robert; he is from Germany, and he charmed my socks off. Then while bowling, I met some AH-MAZING Brazilians. There names are Bianca, Maria, Carlos, Milton, Pedro, and AngĂ©lica. They were all so sweet; I love them all.
So the next morning, I drove home at 8am to see my mommy.
I had to wait for Dad to get home, so we could go together.
Soooooo...since I had nothing to do for a bit, I decided to play with my favorite person <3

After waiting on my dad, we finally drove to Wichita to visit my mom in the hospital.

She was in a lot of pain, and she was kind of drowsy due to her medications. So, we didn't stay long.

Once we were home, we let Taz in, but he stayed like this to make sure I didn't leave him again :(

The next morning, we drove back up to Wichita to pick up Mom and bring her home.
Most of my fall break has been spent with my mom and dog.
There isn't anywhere else I would want to be.
I mean how can you resist a dog that thinks he's a bull. LOL

It is now Tuesday, and I have to drive back to Lawrence tonight. In a way, I can't wait to be in Lawrence, but at the same time, I don't like having to leave my parents and dog behind.
Well, until next time!
Au revoir, mes amours.

Long Time No See!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while, but after some trouble
with my roommates, I have moved from a 4 person suite on Lewis 6th floor
to a single person suite on Templin 5th floor! It was such an exhausting experience trying to move all of my stuff. So, my mommy came to Lawrence to help me!
But before I get to the move and such, I need to keep everyone caught up. The third week of school was a trying week; I had two tests in one week, and they didn't go so hot because I didn't know what to expect. Also, I underwent some changes in scheduling. I dropped my Psychology 104 because I didn't really enjoy it, and also, I didn't really need it.
After a trying week, I went home for the weekend to be with my favorite people in the world.
My first stop was Dad's work since it is right off the highway, so I went and saw him. :D
Then, I stopped by the salon where Mom was getting her nails done with a gift
card we had given her ages ago. Next stop was home to see my baby.
This is what greeted me:
He was so excited that he wouldn't leave me. I had missed him so much.
Honestly, I have no clue what I will do if anything happens to him.
The final stop for the day was to see my second family, The Brunners.
Easton was in school, so it was just Hunter and the babies. I had missed them so much too, but I hadn't realized how hard college would be on them too. Hunter was so excited to see me, and Mason and Marci kept coming to me. My baby boy, Mason, is about to start walking.
NOOOOO!
On Saturday, we had chicken and noodles with Ashley, Colby, and the Brunners.
It was the perfect Saturday.
The only down side was seeing how badly Easton had missed me while I've been away.
He ran straight for me and held me in a bear hug for a good two minutes.
I hate making him feel alone because he's never alone. I'm always with him.
On Sunday, I drove back to Lawrence, and it was relatively uneventful.
But on Monday, my mommy came to help me move dorms. :)
I also called in help from a friend named Brittney.
We had my stuff moved out of my old room within 40 minutes.
It took all day to move into and organize my new room.
Mom stayed the night, and the following day, we ate lunch together. I didn't want her to leave.
Dad was in Texas for business until yesterday, but they decided to come up this weekend to see me which made my day.
Yesterday, I went for a late night run with TJ, and we ran about 3 miles.
I feel the need to interrupt this thought because some of us will be like pshhh...
three miles is nothing. Keep in mind: Lawrence, hills....LOTS OF HILLS
I thought I was dying. After three miles of running, I decided to walk the remaining mile.
I was exhausted from the run, but I also had horrible blisters from the day before that were killing me.
My thighs still burn, but it's a nice feeling.
Today, Monica and I went to the Homecoming Parade and Pep-Rally on Mass st. It went something like this:

Excuse my sloppy hair; it was crummy outside today.
Tomorrow is Late Night in the Phog, so Bill Self, here I come.

I hope you're ready.

On the downside, I have midterms next week and the week after :(
Toodles beautiful followerssss <33
